Torment Weps in HoM
hey im new to the forums and idk if there may already be a thread for this
i dont think the weapons monument in the HoM should only be limitted to destroyer weapons, which honestly take quite a bit less effort to obtain than other high end weapons, such as tormented ones
it would be a simple update that would make a world of difference to many players im sure

Tormented Weapons are still harder to get than Destroyers, cashwise or mission-wise.
Let the Tormented owners put their weapons up in the HoM so they can pretend they have a penis.

Torment weapons are NF, and HoM is for all campaigns so it would be unfair to those 6 guys who dont have NF, (zaichen n HoH would take 10 lifetimes to fill a hall w/ tormented IF they drop from those chests.

I heard farming and then buying was good.
Besides, even if NF was required, that would be a good selling point for ArenaNet to perhaps get a few extra copies of NF sold.

And quest reward NPCs should accept any item that you have in your inventory instead of the specific quest item they keep nagging about. Why is Duke Barradin so anal about some ashes - he should be happy with this perfectly fine charr carving that just dropped outside Piken's Square and give me my reward.

If the title was "all weapons should be allowed in the HoM" then I would sign. Tormented weapons is a nice little bonus but c'mon the best skins aren't considered rare (long sword)

I would only agree with what you're saying if the sign didn't quite specifically ask for the greatest weapons. Cost-wise Tormenteds are more expensive than Destroyers. Difficulty-wise they're harder to get. Appearance-wise they look better. They are greater than destroyer weapons.

as much as i would love to see signs of my tormented shield in GW2 a destroyer weapon is still easier to get
even tho torment weapons > destroyers in looks and prestige

tormented weapons should have just been accepted there in place of destroyer weapons - theyre harder to get, more expensive, more prestigeous. It should be up to the players which weapons they prefer and want to display.
The destroyer weapons should set the lowest-end limit for accepted weapons, any others of similar 'leetness' or better should be displayable in the weapons monument in their place. So full monument would be still 11 high-end weapons, cheapest way to fill it would be still 11 destroyer weapons, but everyone who doesn't like them would have an option to put their favorite high-ends there. Tormenteds are number 1 choice for a list of high-ends to be allowed there, a superobvious choice.
Simply:
More options = better, as long as it doesn't make it any easier.
More options should be just options - No new weapons should be *required* for completion

Having looked at the meshes in game, it appears that the weapons displayed are part of the stand it's self, so to add other weapons would require a complete redesign of the monument stands. Some items would have annoying clipping issues or have to be rescaled for display etc. I'm not opposed to having more options, but you're asking for a ton of graphics work to be done just to make it possible. For those outside the game industry, graphic design is between 80-90% of the overall development cost of games like this. They would be pulling in a team of people to make it work, it would take months, tons of money, and definitely result in set backs in other releases.
Destroyer weapons are easy to get, I'm 5 for 11 so far and have committed my self very little to it. It should not be easy to fill your hall, it's a monument to your devotion to the game, not a freebie place for you to display mediocrity. Torment weapons, I could see as they are equally challenging to obtain, but it raises the issue of favoring people who have Nightfall over those who don't.
I prefer AreaNet spends it's time on bug fixes and GW2.

ok i get your point with the development issues and realize it may never happen, but this is just a suggestion, not a demand. it would be nice though.
and once again (it was mentioned before) though tormented weps are exclusive to NF so are many heroes and titles that are already included. that goes for all campaigns actually. i cant have a "completed" monument becuase i dont have factions so i cant get zenmai, protector/ gaurdian of cantha, etc.
there are plenty of campaign restrictions to getting that "completed hall" and i believe that is not a viable arguing point from which to throw out this idea
